Li River
  • The Li River originates in Mountain Cat in Xinan County in the northeast of Guilin , making its way for about 437 km, passing through Guilin, Yangshuo to the outlet of Gongchen River in Pingle County and Zhaoping, and finally meets the West River at Wuzhou. The Li River is the most beautiful river in China and attracts thousands of visitors all over the world each year. 
    Along the charming 83 kilometers riverbank between Guilin City and Yangshuo, numerous natural wonders, rolling peaks, steep cliffs, verdant hills, exquisite rocks and clear water compose a charming hundred-mile gallery of landscape.

     

    Li River cruise starting from Guilin downstream to Yangshuo is the centerpiece of any trip to northeastern Guangxi Province. It is a journey of about eighty kilometers and seven to eight hours. Gorgeous Karst peaks give you surprise at each bend of the limpid river under the sky. Each peak has an imaginative name with a legendary story. Most of them are mystical fairy and love stories. Water buffalo patrol the fields, peasants reap rice paddies, school kids and fisherman float by on bamboo rafts. With its breathtaking scenery and taste of a life far removed from the concrete metropolis, the scenery along the Li River become one of China’s top tourist destinations.
