Located in the northeast of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guilin city is one of the most visited cities in China, with verdant mountains, elegant waters, magnificent crags and fantastic caverns.

Famous for its wonderful scenery, rivers and karst peaks covered in lush greenery, Guilin has a long history of more than 2,000 years. In 214 B.C, QinShiHuang, the first emperor of Qin Dynasty ordered to built Ling Canal and established Guilin Prefecture. Since then, Guilin became an important strategic place of South Sinkiang, which was connected with the coast in the south, reaching Central Plains in the north. Since Northern Song Dynasty, it has been the political, economic and cultural center of Guangxi. In recent decades, although development and exploding tourism are changing the face of this beautiful city, Guilin has remained one of China's greenest and scenic cities and has been called the finest under heaven.

Guilin boasts many natural attractions such as Elephant Trunk Hill, the symbol of Guilin’s scenery, Reed Flute Cave, one of the area’s wonderful underground sights with stalagmites in different shapes and colors, the scenery along Li River is one of China 's top tourist destinations, with its eye-pleasing scenery and fine taste of life far removed from the concrete metropolis.
